PJ (Perry) Sebastian remains missing.  He was reported last seen on the morning of Dec. 26, 2011 on the Nee Tahi Buhn reserve on the Southside.  The RCMP have conducted ground and aerial searches in the area where he was last seen and leads have been followed up upon, but without any success.

Although the RCMP report no further developments, Theresa Michel, Sebastian鈥檚 mother, believes that her son is still alive.

鈥淚 never think negative,鈥� Theresa said. 鈥淚 stay positive all the time.鈥�

It isn鈥檛 just a mother鈥檚 hope in the face of her child鈥檚 disappearance.  She has heard from others that Sebastian is in the Edmonton area to work off a debt.

鈥淚 heard [from a source] that I shouldn鈥檛 worry, that he owes money and he鈥檚 working it off,鈥� she said.  鈥淲hen he鈥檚 done he鈥檒l come home.鈥�

Kim Sebastian, PJ鈥檚 cousin has been leading the campaign to find PJ and keep awareness of his disappearance in the public eye.

She is not enthusiastic about the rumours of another PJ sighting.

鈥淭o me, that鈥檚 just more rumours.  There have been many rumours,鈥� she said.  鈥淏ut nothing concrete.鈥�

It鈥檚 been almost a year since PJ disappeared and not only is the family no closer to finding him, but they鈥檙e no closer to understanding the circumstances of his disappearance in the first place.

鈥淭here鈥檚 no leads to anything,鈥� Kim said.  鈥淲e鈥檝e put posters out across B.C. and in Alberta wherever family has travelled.鈥�

鈥淪omebody knows where he is,鈥� she said.

鈥淭hey need to let the family know.鈥�
