The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identities of two drivers who died as a result of a motor vehicle incident that occurred near Fraser Lake on Nov. 5, 2012.
The deceased are Raymond Mooreside, aged 62, from Fraser Lake and Joan Breed, aged 67, from Prince George.
At about 9:40 a.m. on Nov. 5, Mr. Mooreside was driving his car eastbound on Hwy. 16 about 15 kilometres east of Fraser Lake.
Breed was driving her Jeep Cherokee westbound. The two were involved in a head-on crash. Two other vehicles also became involved in the collision.
Mooreside was taken to Fraser Lake Diagnostic and Treatment Centre, but was unable to recover from his injuries.
Breed was taken to St. John's Hospital in Vanderhoof and then by air-ambulance to Vancouver General Hospital. She also succumbed to her injuries later on Nov. 5, 2012.
The BC Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate this death.
The families of Mr. Mooreside and Ms. Breed have been notified of their deaths. On behalf of the families, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
