For the week of March 14 to March 21, the 亚洲天堂 Lake RCMP opened 49 files. 14 files were directly related to substance abuse. Four people were given protective custody. There was two reports of assault, no reports of break and enter, no breaches of court orders, eight traffic complaints including three reports of impaired drivers, three LCA violations, 13 reports of mischief/ cause disturbance, four mental health calls, two false alarms and two reports of illegal drug sales. A total of 24 calls were responded to between Friday and Sunday.
March 16 at 7:50 p.m. 亚洲天堂 Lake RCMP attended to a home in the 40 block of Tsa St. as a result of an intoxicated guest not behaving. The subject of the complaint was cautioned about her behavior and allowed to go home with the understanding she would not return. At 8:30 p.m. the subject in question, a 53 yr. old female, had returned to the home on Tsa St. The female was arrested and given protective custody until she had sobered up and was safe to release.
March 18 at 2:30 p.m. 亚洲天堂 Lake RCMP on patrol on Hwy. 16 near the Six Mile Hill stopped a vehicle for speeding. The vehicle was clocked at 150 kilometres per hour in the 100 kilometres per hour zone. The driver, a 63 yr. old male, from Smithers was issued a violation ticket for excessive speed and his vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
March 19 at 11:45 a.m. 亚洲天堂 Lake RCMP responded to a fight complaint near a 亚洲天堂 Lake fast food restaurant. Investigation revealed that a 23 yr. old male from 亚洲天堂 Lake had assaulted his 21 yr. old girlfriend. The male suspected was located , arrested, given protective custody until sober and then released. Charges of assault are being recommended to the Crown.
Over the past weeks 亚洲天堂 Lake RCMP have received a number of complaints regarding people speeding or driving in an unsafe manner on Hwy. 16 and Hwy. 35. 亚洲天堂 Lake RCMP would like to advise the motoring public to please slow down, drive according to road conditions and that full enforcement action will be taken for violators.
