Lakes District Arts Council Annual General Meeting

The fourteenth Annual General Meeting of the Lakes District Arts Council will be held on Feb. 27, 2019 beginning at 5:30 p.m. sharp in the basement of the ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake Library. Look for the Arts Council’s AGM announcement in the Lakes District ÑÇÖÞÌìÌÃ. All members and interested community members are welcome to attend the AGM and all LDAC meetings. A regular LDAC meeting will follow immediately after the AGM. Think about joining this hardworking, successful and fun group of volunteers, and help us keep arts and cultural events and youth projects happening in the Lakes District.

Decker Lake Elementary School Fundraiser Talent Night

The Stage is Waiting for You! The Decker Lake PAC is organizing a fundraiser for an outdoor classroom at the school, and is presenting a talent show on March 1 at 6:30 p.m. There are cash prizes to be won! There is a $5 entry fee for performers at the Talent Night. Adults and children are welcome to participate. Tickets to see the show are $5 at the door.

Open Mic Coffee House

The next Open Mic Coffee House takes place on March 1 at the Lakeside Multiplex. Doors open at 6:30 p.m, and the music goes from 7 p.m. to around 9 p.m. Enjoy the performances of local entertainers, as well as refreshments at intermission by donation. Come early to get a good seat! Admission is $5 for non-performers (children 12 and under are admitted for $3), and performers are admitted free. Proceeds support the ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake and area Scouts. 62nd Annual Lakes District Festival of the Performing Arts

The purpose of the Lakes District Festival, which runs from March 5 to March 16 is for participants to accept the challenge of performing while they are encouraged to learn, share and grow.
