Our deepest condolences go out to the citizens of ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake and the Lakes District.
The loss of life, injuries and damage to the sawmill are catastrophic and the impact on individuals and families in this small, close knit community will be felt for a long time.
We truly believe that your northern spirit, powerful sense of community and compassion will be a source of strength over the coming months.
Although nothing can replace the loss of a loved one, we do hope you will find the resilience to come through this tragedy stronger.
On behalf of all the workforce, staff and volunteers, of the Canadian Cancer Society B.C. and Yukon, our thoughts are with you at this terrible time.
We hope the rebuilding of lives and the community will move ahead quickly.
