Editor:
I wish to express my sincere condolences to all those who were directly, or indirectly affected by the recent explosion and fire at Babine Forest Products, particularly to those who are going through the loss or injury of a loved one.
I know that all of ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake and the surrounding area grieve with them. I don’t think there is anyone in this area that has not been affected in some way by this incident.
I believe that God is in control despite how things look, and that he wants to bless this town and the people in it.
I don’t think I have ever seen a more generous and caring community than ours.
I also believe that what we speak can bring blessing or curse on our town, and I choose to bless it, and to say that I know that God is for our town, not against it.
So I say that this will not be the end of ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake, but rather a new beginning.
I bless ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake with prosperity and the ability, not only to restore what was lost, but much more.
I bless the mayor and councillors, band chiefs and all others in decision making roles with divine wisdom and direction.
I pray that there would be a coming together of all the people in ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake and the surrounding communities, so that the dividing walls would come down and that there would be healing and restoration.
I bless the people with ingenuity, and resourcefulness, that new ideas would be brought to life and that there would be more than enough employment for everyone to stay here.
I believe that God has great things in store for ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake. We need to choose to listen to the positive and not to be overwhelmed by the negative.
I am not perfect, so that is as much for me as anyone else.
What I do know is that we only see a small piece of the puzzle.
God sees it as a whole, because the spiritual realm is so much greater, and more real than what we see here.
Choose to believe today to see ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake the way God sees it, and continue to pray and seek God’s face in the midst of this.
Sincerely
George Peters
