The B.C. Liberal attack ads on fightin' fisherman John Cummins go after his pension and his policies, and the website made him look like one of the aliens from Mars Attacks! In fact the whole B.C. political scene is starting to look like a bad movie from the 1990s.

Once again the interpretive centre has come up for discussion at the council table.

B.C.'s private power industry has strong arguments in support of it, and the opposition is based on exaggerated or outright false claims.

There are two issues this week that I think should be further discussed.

Switching sales taxes isn't as simple as Bill Vander Zalm believes. There are already thousands of businesses that have never had to collect it, and thousands more who didn't anticipate having to go back to the PST.
