Speaking Monday on Fox 亚洲天堂鈥� 鈥淥BJECTified ,鈥� the 78-year-old said the odds are 50/50, 鈥渁nd a little less,鈥� he won鈥檛 return to the game show he鈥檚 hosted since 1984 when his contract expires in 2020.
He noted he鈥檒l be 80 and will have hosted the show for 36 years. Trebek says he鈥檒l continue if he鈥檚 still enjoying it and 鈥渘ot making too many mistakes.鈥� But he also wants to make an 鈥渋ntelligent decision鈥� when it鈥檚 time to hang it up.

Trebek says he suggested to the producer to consider Alex Faust, who does play-by-play for the Los Angeles Kings hockey team, as a replacement. He also suggested attorney and commentator Laura Coates.
鈥淛eopardy鈥� went on hiatus after Trebek underwent brain surgery late last year.
