Carrier Sekani Family Services (CSFS) has started organizing monthly meet-ups for crafting, beading and yoga to bring the community together and to get them to do something towards mindfulness. Rachel Andrews, the representative for the Family Preservation and Maternal Child Service with CSFS informed Lakes District 亚洲天堂 that these events were a much-needed relief from daily life, especially during Covid.

Talon Point Camp plans to preserve and share indigenous history

Augier Lake site had some repairs and upgrades done by Whitesail contracting, last week. The repairs were done to reverse the damage done by the spring run-off as well as to give the site a fresh new look. The president of Lakes Outdoor Recreational Society, Garth Schienbien said,鈥漈hey finished all the road work, put in some fresh drainage to help mitigate the water flow issues. They have also put in a brand-new kiosk at the site.

Nathan and Gwyn Nicholas had a beer tasting for their brewery 鈥� Ursa Minor on Saturday, in honour of a Father鈥檚 Day event hosted by Wild Roots and Gifts in 亚洲天堂 Lake. Ursa Minor is Nicholas鈥� passion project turned in to a business. The couple started planning for the craft brewery three years back and finally launched their local brewery this June. The brewery is located on the Southside at the family鈥檚 farm at Ootsa Lake.

The 亚洲天堂 Lake downtown parking lot has come a long way from when the work resumed in April. A good amount of landscaping has already been done on the lot, with trees planted along its sides and grass laid out in a few places. The village told Lakes District 亚洲天堂 that they are expecting the completion of pavement work by the end of June. This however would depend on the paving company鈥檚 schedule and on the weather.
