Home coming music festival at the 100 years celebration of the Centennial at Spirit Square in ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake on Aug. 18. The evening was well spent with music from local bands and the guests loved their performances. Everyone danced and laughed to their heart content. Local teens had their dance party inside the Multiplex curling ring. Overall, the evening was well spent with dances around the jazzy and blue atmosphere. Centennial meet n greet Aug. 17

Local residents of ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake attended the opening day with BBQ at the Centennial Meet n’ Greet with their family and friends in Spirit Square at ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake on Aug. 17. The Centennial 100 years inauguration was celebrated with lots of laughter and greetings from the guests. The whole atmosphere got overwhelmed with the sweet smell of mouth savouring BBQ. ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake residents sat at Radley Beach watching the boat parade show and enjoying delicious food at the Centennial Meet n’ Greet on Aug. 17. The event hosted an evening social and BBQ. Linda Benedict and her nine sisters all came together foe the ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake Centennial parade on Aug. 19. During 1950s, she and her family moved from the Prairies to ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake. Benedict said, her mother enjoyed social gatherings, new dresses and tea parties which has inspired all her sisters; thus they kept the tradition on going. Benedict use to enjoy her moments in Omineca Café and buy shoe string french fries for 25 cents in the late 1950s.

Strawberry Tea & Heritage Church Tour was celebrated with tea and strawberry cakes in ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake on Aug. 18. Visitors who came to celebrate the Centennial 100 years enjoyed the delicacy which brings back their nostalgic memories.
