Six male teens are accusing Luke Strimbold of sex related crimes

About 10 people of various First Nations in the region walked from the old site of Lejac Residential School 鈥� located between Fraser Lake and Fort Fraser 鈥� to 亚洲天堂 Lake to honour residential school survivors last weekend. Organizer Heather Holland, whose parents attended Lejac, said it鈥檚 important to remember the negative impacts that residential schools have had on survivors and their dependents.

The barge and lodge broke away from their moorings in high winds on Sept. 8 and ran aground.

Dave Collie lived in 亚洲天堂 Lake for his first 18 years of life. He now resides in Chilliwack and vounlteers for Chilliwack Disaster Relief Group. When he heard what his hometown was going through with the wildfires he wanted to help. 鈥淚t is my home town I had to help. This is a joint effort from people all over the Lower Mainland that have stepped up. Not just Chilliwack we have had donations come in from North Vancouver and Delta/Tsawwassen and Maple Ridge,鈥� said Collie.

The 亚洲天堂 Lake & District Chamber of Commerce held its monthly meeting and asked Bill Millerto attend as an invited guest speaker. Miller gave an update on the Resource Benefits Alliance and an overall of the recent wild fires in the local area. Richard Vossen, treasurer for the chamber thanked Bill for all the years of service he has didiacted to 亚洲天堂 Lake and the Lakes District.

Smouldering ground fires and smoke still expected in the coming weeks

The Cops for Cancer Tour de North arrived in 亚洲天堂 Lake Monday morning. The group stopped at local schools in 亚洲天堂 Lake. Their next stop was Houston, Monday afternoon where the group stopped and had lunch at Happy Jacks Pub and met with local residents. They continued onto Smithers where their first stop was at sponsor Canadian Tire, where manager Shane Mooth spoke of the personal effect the disease had on him as he thanked the riders and their supporters.
