The Link held a successful Secret Santa workshop during their Christmas event.

Scott Zayac, The Link鈥檚 executive director, is pleased with all the generous contributions from the community.

He expressed that the positive impact on families is invaluable.

鈥淲ithout donations from community members鈥 money and toys, this would not be possible.鈥

At the Secret Santa workshop, 175 kids were given a gift, whereas there was a 129 last year. There were 200 Christmas hampers given out this year, while the previous year was 175, which is about a 15 percent increase.

Zayac said the Secret Santa workshop was made possible due to their community support from Red Apple, RX Drug Store, Fields, Real Canadian Wholesale Club, Woods N鈥 Water and Wisteria Community Church, who all agreed to accept donations at their stores.

The workshop鈥檚 space was donated by Save On Foods and Lakes Literacy, who contributed all the beautiful books to the children.

鈥淥nce again, the community has stepped up.鈥

The Link is always looking for volunteers for their many programs and also donations are kindly accepted all year long at the food bank.
