Out with the pole, in with the new

BC Hydro crews use three different trucks to replace a power pole across the street from Lakes District Secondary School last week. BC Hydro’s ongoing maintenance program will see the replacement of more than 10,000 wooden distribution poles in 2017 across the province.

An ‘unsightly premise’ located across the street from Lakes District Secondary School was demolished last week. The building, which had been empty for a number of years, was most recently used as a storage area for building supply materials. In response to concerns from the public over the state of the building, the Village of ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake worked with the property owner, CA Fischer Lumber Ltd., to bring the property into compliance with village bylaws.
