The seniors tree holiday donation initiative was a success. All 65 of the seniors wish lists, which were divided between Wild Roots Flowers and Gifts and IDA Drug store, have been claimed by community members. Norm Klassen was the winner out of thousands of entries for the Shop Local contest put on by Lakes District ÑÇÖÞÌìÌÃ, which ran all through November. He received a prize of $500 in gift certificates that will likely go towards some Christmas shopping. Klassen said when he received the call that he was the winner it made his day.
