Fun day at Save on Foods in 亚洲天堂 Lake

Save on Foods in 亚洲天堂 Lake held a holiday event on Dec. 22. It included face painting, local musicians and performers, free hot chocolate and apple cider. The also had Spin and Win wheel for a $2 donation to BC Children鈥檚 Hospital - which raise dover $300. There was also 鈥淪elfies with Santa鈥 and anyone who shopped over $100 was entered in a raffle to win your grocery purchases back on a gift card. Store manager, Michael Vatcher said, 鈥淲e love serving 亚洲天堂 Lake have a great holiday season.

New ice markings in curling rink

Representatives from Babine Forest Products and the 亚洲天堂 Lake Curling Club stand by the new ice sheets installed in the ice at the curling rink, on Nov. 28. The sheets, made from a synthetic material provide a sharper image, helping with accuracy during curling and they take less time to maintain for Village of 亚洲天堂 Lake staff. They also eliminate the need to wash from the ice any paint, keeping paint from eventually entering the water system. The sheets are expected to last at least 10 years.

Anna Simmons is the newest Canadian citizen in 亚洲天堂 Lake after she passed her citizenship examination on Oct. 23 and took her Oath of Citizenship. Simmons, who works in the front office at Lakes District Secondary School (LDSS) arrived in Canada in 1993 from Mill Valley, California.
