Texas 4000 makes a stop in ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake

This summer, university students from Austin, Texas, are cycling through ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake on their way to Anchorage, Alaska. The students are part of the Texas 4000, an annual charity bicycle ride that raises money for cancer research. This year the cyclists have raised nearly US$700,000 as they ride over 4000 miles in 70 days. Wildfires in B.C. and poor air quality have made this year’s ride especially challenging. The Freshwater Fisheries Society of B.C. delivered a free program to introduce kids and to fishing at Kager Lake last Friday.
